The Glass Half Full is a wine making establishment independently owned and operated by us, Denis and Nicole Porlier. We have been providing award-winning wines to wine lovers for over five years. Our wines have frequently won awards at the Winemaker International Amateur Wine Competition, the biggest wine competition of its kind in the world. We are active members of the Fermenter’s Guild and the Oakville Wine Enthusiasts.

Denis has been involved in wine making for over a decade, and has also studied extensively in the field of oenology and wine making. He was awarded the Higher Certificate with Distinction from the internationally-recognized Wine and Spirits Education Trust, and has also studied wine with the University of Guelph. Both he and Nicole regularly attend certified wine making courses with the Fermenter’s Guild. 

Nicole’s expertise is in customer service and event planning. Her strong desire to do unique personal things for people drives her to consistently go the extra mile to add a special touch to each customer’s experience. She is also gifted in languages, is proficient in English, French and Spanish, and conversant in German.
